We have added some extra length to the original CHOOTEN S-198 rod (developed for light style tactics) to optimise line control and gain some casting leverage. The length also helps when striking at distance or depth. We have conserved all the tip sensitivity and power reserve in the butt that made the original such a great tool for finesse tactics targeting perch and zander.

Can be classed as a power zander rod or a light pike rod depending on what species you are after. We have developed this rod to fill a gap in our CHOOTEN range. Designed specifically for zander fishing from the bank on bigger lakes and rivers. The blank is superbly balanced and comfortable to fish with. Will handle soft baits from 3’ to 5’ and jig heads from 3 to 12g.
